Gallery of Flocks

This photo gallery shows the large size of some recent and current North American Karakul flocks.

Only small portions of some flocks are registered individual sheep, occasionally none are registered; however all are purebred Karakuls. Most are bred as commercial sheep, sometimes with ewes and rams running together year-round. The majority of these Karakuls were never counted in a breed census.

One of the main objectives of the Alliance is to locate these flocks in order to capture Karakul sheep numbers in unregistered purebred flocks for any future breed census.
