The 2017 US Karakul Census surpassed our expectations. It yielded far more sheep and shepherds than we originally thought. The other important lesson we learned is – there are many long-term Karakul shepherds in the US. When people fall for this breed, it frequently appears to be a life-long sheep-love affair.
